The City of London rose from the ashes of the 2008 banking crisis; but in 2020 a global viral pandemic saw the world-class financial centre experience an exodus of it’s inhabitants: the hollowed-out skyscrapers and ancient buildings, home to so many global corporate institutions, were now looking down on lone figures walking the eerie, near-deserted streets below; as workers stayed away.
